    Hello guys,

I've been doing NoFap for almost 3 years now, and at the moment I'm working on a tutorial how to set free from this terrible addiction. In this tutorial I want to share all the wisdom and tips I've gained during this process. To make it even better I want to get a feeling what questions about this process are on your heart.

Now I have a question to you guys:

What question would you like to get answered if your looking for a guide that helps you overcome your pornography addiction?

If it was just one question, which one would you like to get answered in all its depth?

What do feel like you need to know to finally stop relapsing?

It would help me a lot, if you post your question here.

Of course, I will also try to answer your question, if I can.

    Thanks for your time.

    Have a good day,

First off congratulations to you on this great achievement. I am starting my seventh month of hard mode but the fantasizing has been hard to control and I have lapsed about three time months last month from looking at porn. I haven't attempted MO or PMO at all and will neither. I have made too much progress to go back to that.

I did have triggers that led to looking at YouTube and then the porn so I know what it is that is doing it to me. I think I may just have to get rid of my smartphone for good. Is that what you did and did that help you from relapse on porn.

I feel I do not have to reset myself because of this but want to get the urge to view out of my mind..

My question is, what do you think about psychiatric medication to overcome porn addiction, PAWS, and any problem relationated with this addiction?

    pyschiatric medication is very shit.
    they real damage you.
the only thing to do is arm yourself with great willpower.

I think the same. I'm taking psychiatric meds because of other causes. When i started nofap i noticed that no PMO and healthy lifestyle did a lot more than these meds. If you cut sugar you will notice a huge difference too. My psychiatrist told me that if i cut meds, i will be bad again. I don't trust on her.

    My Journal
    Hey guys,

first of all thank you for all your questions. It helps me a lot, so please keep asking.

One of the best methods to prevent urges for porn is to do something that makes you feel good about yourself. This can be a little present for yourself for reaching a certain amount of days, like going out for a nice meal or even better going out of your comfort zone, like starting a conversation with a stranger.

Have something to look forward to. An occassion, where you need to be your best self. Or better: You want to be your best self. So you can't simply allow yourself to relapse.

It also helps if you note down every success you made during your day, so you can look it up in difficult situations. This can be things like a good conversation or you saying your opinion to someone. Note down whatever made you proud of yourself during the day. It helps to be focussed more on the positive sides of yourself, which makes it harder to relapse.

No, I didn't get rid of my smartphone. I did install a porn blocker on my computer, but for my smartphone was no good blocker avaiblable, so I had to be the porn blocker.

If you feel like your smartphone is dangerous for your reboot and you can't make it with it, then get rid off it. Even if it's just for 3 months. Your reboot has top priorty, I mean your better life really depends on it.

I feel absolutley great today. The difference between my old self and my new one is huge. It was one of the best descisions in my life to cut porn out of my life.

I don't use instagram. I use Youtube rarley for music, but no videos usually. I haven't used Facebook for almost 2 years, now I'm back to it for using it for some important groups and conversations. I think the best tactic is to get more and more aware, that massive use of social media is just not good for me, because it leads to unhealthy comparison with other people. The more present you will get, the less interessted you will be in such things, cause you stop doing things that aren't good for you.

I did orgasm during that period with a women.

Yes, it came back. I have strong sex drive most of the time. On a few occasions I had trouble keeping my erection, but that wasn't because of porn... It was because I was nervous and thinking to much. If you're rebooting for one year + you sould shouldn't have any more problems with libido.

There is some truth in this. I also feel not as focussed and vivid if I had a wet dream the night before. My observation is that I more likley have wet dreams, when I'm stressed before going to sleep, when I tend to flutter, because there are emotional themes for example. My theory is that the brain seeks for a way to relax then, and sex or ejaculation is a way to get this.

You will have way better learining results if you give yourself the needed time to calm down and refocus. It doesn't help if your pressing it in like a machine. I would recommend to go out, get some fresh air, maybe talk to someone, and then get back. If you spend too much time in this stress-mode it is very dangerous for relapsing. Take your reboot serious. You'll acutally progress faster, if you take important breaks. Meditation is a great way for stress release and getting back to earth.

On the other side (and maybe this will offend you): Why do you study, whatever it is, if you feel such an intense amount of stress, depression and even boredome? It doesn't sound like it's good for you. What do you hope to reach with this?

I wouldn't recommend any psychiatric medication to anyone. It doesn't help you to heal the root of your problems, it just takes care of the symptoms, and most of the time with a lot of side effects, that damage your body and brain over time. My tip: Take the time to look at your problems, treat them at it's root, and you'll never need any medication again.

Yes definitley. Porn puts a lot of social anxiety into you. You can't do nothing about it. It just happens.

If you're free yourself from it, you will also find the new freedom in conversations.

I would try to be as far from triggers as possible, because... Why make it harder than it needs to be?
But we live in a world where triggers can be everywhere. On posters in the street, on the subway, whatever ...

But in my experience the most powerful triggers aren't picures, but the emotions that led you to porn... like shame, guilt... and you can't run away from them. You have to go through them. If you mastered this... you don't have to be worried or feared of triggers anymore.
