Time is the currency of life and we're fapping wasting it. So how do we get our time back? We need to change our perception of time. I discovered an inspiring image today which has heightened my perspective on life. We know this in theory, but that's the problem; theory lives in our heads. Sometimes we need to see something visually to identify it’s value:

Each block represents a week in your life, from birth right up to the age of 90 (pressuming you live that long). Zooming out and looking at life like this forces you to face your mortality. Talking of mortality, check out this grid:

I’m going to print the empty grid and start ticking it off. Every week is a realistic opportunity to move forward in our desired direction. Whether we’re stuck in our habits or we’re trying to break free, we can look at this and realise how many weeks we’ve wasted wanking...

Bruce Lee also recognised the importance of time:

Perhaps we don't love life enough? There must be something we're avoiding when we waste our time escaping into the world of porn? This vacuum of avoidance has to stop.
It's time to leave your re-productive system alone and be-productive instead.

Just. In case people want to read more of what I've written and to make it easier for them.

  14. Somebody else who experiences fear looking at that table?
Also I don't get how to make use out of it. You print it out and then?

You could or you could just look at it now and then as a reminder of our mortality.

You're an interesting bloke eh. The famous people noted are somewhat selective (some musicians dying at 27 for example) but I shall try to delve more.

  17. I needed some time. But through writing the post and then having it on my mind ... I suddenly understood. It's like looking deep in a abyss ...
I accepted it. It has a concrete implication for me: what do you want to do? choose well! ... vanity! huhuhuuu
For example I'll focus on some things I still wish to do and learn in my lifetime not on many.

  18. I wasn't specific in my last post about WHAT kind of implications this thing has for me. What change will I make?!

It may be too personal. But then I see: all you did was posting (and thinking).
YOU ARE NOT SPECIFIC. YOU HAVEN'T TAKEN ANY ACTION.

    Be specific.
    Take action.

    Thanks @iaj for the inspiration!
