Counter:384 days no PMO, semen retention.

I have lucid dreams since I can remember when I was 7 years old and I was trying to escape Freddy Krueger in my sleep haha

My father likes lucid dreaming a lot he gave me books and teachings about the subject. At age 12 and until 24 years old I was obsessed with lucid dreaming and the Tibetan yoga of sleep and dream. I lived a life according to improve in any aspect my lucidity and that includes no PMO, I never PMO when I was really into lucid dreaming. If you PMO very often it's very difficult to have a good sleep and even more difficult to lucid dreaming.

In astrology the house of the subconscious, sleep and the arts of the bed that includes sex they are all in the 12 house. I have a feeling if you master having a good sleep it helps a lot to balance your sexual energy and avoid PMO.

Conclusion: try learning lucid dreaming to overcome PMO. It might help.

You also feel so much joy in a lucid dream you can do anything you want then you don't see the need to masturbate, it's a big stress reliever

Tell me more benefits, has it increased your creativity, or your joy in life? How does it feel like, when you are lucid dreaming? I've heard that the movies of christopher nolan came from some of his lucid dreams...

I just had one I was in a dangerous neighborhood in my town I knew I was lucid dreaming. I had some fights, went down a black hole. Very fun.

It's like you can do whatever you want there is no limits

I talk more about it here

I’ve tried to lucid dream many times with minimal success . I do multiple reality checks daily . I actually joined up on here because some of my dreams last night were about my ex and they made me so depressed. I wanted to PMO . Struggling abit today

Porn makes lucid dreaming more difficult specially because it fills the mind of so many images also attachment to pleasure makes it hard because lucidity is detachement.

Try waking up like at 3am stay up watching something that inspire you to lucid dream like inception for 30 min or do something relaxing and then go back to sleep this is the more easy way to lucid dream

Also Stephen Laberge exploring the world of lucid dreaming book is one or the best books about lucid dreaming you can check it up too

@InnerMan this is just begginers if you want to go deeper then search yoga nidra or Tibetan yoga of sleep and dream.

There is an easy way to lucid dream is just not sleeping for 3 days you almost dream at closing your eyes.

There is also sleep yoga which means being lucid in the norem state of sleep meaning no images during the dream. It's more advance.

There is also something called the six yogas of naropa.

In which 3 of them are about dreaming

    So you have

1.lucid dreaming or being lucid with images.

2.Lucid sleep which is no rem or no images dream lucidity

3.Astral projection which is coming out of your body and see the world as it is while you are sleep.

There are other deep things like moving your consciousness to another body or doing death meditation or phowa which is basically conscious death. These other two make part of the yogas of naropa.

And the last naropa yoga is tummo or being able to create heat with your body like those yogis in the Himalayas that are naked and melting snow.

This book is about dream and sleep yoga Tibetan style. The author is one or the best master about dreams

    https://www.amazon.com/Tibetan-Yogas-Dream-Sleep/dp/1559391014

Also read something about physiology of sleep, brain waves during sleep. Rem and norem. Have a collection of movies about lucid dreaming, have a dream journal and always write your dreams right after you wake up.

Learn to never overreact in life always remain calm a dream ends because you get overly excited so your body starts to get activated your heart starts to pump more. For example tibetans use to sleep in high small beds so they couldn't move much or they will fall. Meditation helps to learn to be still

For me is also about practice remember the scene of inception at the beginning were the main character was forced to wake up they could not make him wake up until they dunk him in the bathtub in the dream it was starting to fill with water but he was fighting it.

You need to learn to connect to your body while you are dreaming in some moments like you can tell the heartbeats are getting faster or your body wants to wake up and force it to stay asleep.

But most importantly you need to remain calm in the dream it doesn't matter what terrible or amazing thing you are living remain calm dont over enjoy it or you will wake up. Just like sex don't over enjoy it with ejaculation the same applies to dreams

Cool man. I have that book actually but havent read it since I'm not skilled at basic LD yet.

I have a dream journal as that is a common recommendation for improving dream recall and seeing patterns in your dreams/dream signs.

One of the problems I have is that since REM duration is longer during the later periods of sleep, I wake up at like 4 a.m. and then go back to bed with intention of lucid dreaming but I have a hard time falling back to sleep. It really messes with my sleep so it's the one thing that puts me off a little. Especially with semen retention I sometimes wake up with a lot of energy. Gotta figure out how to go back to sleep more easily!

Exactly you are getting overly excited flying can make you very excited. So try in some dreams just walking and remain calm the dream will become more long. When you get more advanced you can do more amazing things if your minds allows it dreams require us to break rigid ideas we have about reality like becoming 100 people at the same time. Creating a planet, be killed by demons this is part of Tibetan yoga of dreams to experience painful death and remain calm.

A good thing is to write in the journal a segment called analysis in which you analyze why you had a dream its content. it helps to understand our attachements and that way help you become more lucid

Interesting thread, thank you for the tips. I have been interested in lucid dreaming a long time but I never took the steps required to make it happen. Reading this was nice. I have been seeing deja vu dreams a lot lately in which the things in dreams happened the very next day in some sort of way, like discussion topics with people when I did not choose that topic.
I see dreams as one way of Gods communication with us, when it is not lucid at least. What do you think of this?

this are exceptional cases, usually this type of dream only happen if you have a very pure mind. otherwise dreams are just a graphic representation of your subconscious, past memories, desires, fears, things you have done in the day or just random thoughts

Lucid dreaming is a very attractive idea for me, I only remember having one when I was a kid, floating around my house near the roof. Could you guide me on how to learn this ability or recommend your booms

I have a feeling that Freddy Krueger was intended to keep people from explore this portion of themselves.

Just saw this now, I have also come to the same conclusion because I kept on seeing the same dreams and they were on my mind during the day/ unhealed traumas that surfaced. Will check out the video soon when I get headphones.
