    Hi everyone,
I'm ashamed of writing such a message but I guess I have to. I have been masturbating since I was a kid, and it has ruined my life. I have no energy at all. I also have problems with my memory and immune system. I can't ejaculate for one time without feeling tired for days.
My question is, since I'm getting married in few months, will stopping masturbation for 100 days give me the energy back? what about real sex is it going to be the same? I mean will I get tired after real sex too?
I mean after I recover, and get married, will real sex have the same tiring effect on me?

  2. I think it takes real courage to write that. And if you got the strength to do that than you can do this . Yes you will get your energy back if you go 100 days .and yes real sex will improve the sooner you stop the faster the healing begins there are going to be dark days but the freedom from it more than make up for them . If I can do this so can U

Real sex always makes me a little sleepy afterwards, but it is a good thing. It is so relaxing. It does not make me feel tired during the day, usually just an hour later. It is different than what you experience with masterbation.

    More importantly.....

Masterbation addiction can ruin your future marriage and create a lot of stress. It can effect your performance in bed and take away the desire you have with your spouse. The only way to fix this is to abstain from masterbation. Good news is that recovery is possible. It is good you have 100 days to start fixing this and fully enjoy your marriage. But if you do not work on this expect moments your wife craves you and you cannot get an erection, or having to come up with all these lies on why you have a low sex drive.

Second, do not expect marriage to replace your addiction. I thought this would happen but it does not work that way. Took 3 years of keeping this addiction in my marriage and keeping it from my wife until I got caught.

Marriage in no way will solve this, but it does help to have sex.

Keep going, learn from this forum, and know things will get better after they get worse. Knowledge is important in handling this addiction.

Thank you so much guys. I am reading up a lot these days and I think I have learned a lot.
So the bottom line is that real sex isn't going to cause fatigue like masturbation?

I must have the same number of years as you. I'm 36 and have been addicted since 14/15 I would say.

Thing is I was addicted to M before P entered my life.

Congrats on the wedding first and foremost!
Great job on setting yourself up for these 100 days without PMO. You need to find a way to relax because marriage prep can be stressful (most brides unintentionally go bride-zilla on you) and masturbation may seem like an instant mood fix. Don't give in... you'll see wonderful results!

Side note: i'm in a rather similar situation being on PMO since I was 13, marriage is still a couple of years away. I've decided to fight for the first time too, so let's wish each other luck!

    Congratulations :D
Yes, it seems like we have a reason to fight this awful thing. I still feel very tired all the time, and my memory is literally fish-like :(. Is that common in our case?

So it does cause fatigue and memory loss.
    Wish you all the best

Yes it causes memory loss. Without a calendar app and a to do list synchronized on both my phone and laptop, i'm screwed.

  13. You're on the right path! It is hard...I've failed a lot recently, went 16 days initially and then relapsed when feeling low...it's a real battle but this site is so helpful. I always feel better when not FAPing and PMO but get so easily drawn back to porn. Keep up the fight!

My main concern is the fatigue. I'm always extremely tired and can't concentrate much.

I have over 50 years of masturbating to porn and until recently I never even realized I had an addiction. I would have trouble staying hard when having sex with my wife and I always assumed that it was just old age, but I would never have trouble staying hard and cumming several times to porn. My wife found this site and I started reading the forums and quickly came to the conclusion that I was a porn addict. I am on my 39th day of my 90 day reboot of being PMO free. I have more energy and more confidence in myself. I haven't tried to have sex with my wife to see if my ED problem has improved, that will be at least another 51 days, which we both agreed to.

I have a much better relationship with my wife, I no longer have to worry about her walking in on me as I was masturbating to porn and being open and honest about my addiction and my reboot has started to create trust back in our marriage. I still have some strong desires that I have been able to put aside and when I get the urge to watch porn I always come to this site and read the forums until the desires go away. If I can do it after 50 plus years I know that you can too and believe me you will be much happier and so will your future wife. Good luck and remember you are not the only one going through this, we are all in the same boat and we are all here to help support one another.

I must say that you have a very supportive wife. Many wives wouldn't have done the same. Did you suffer from fatigue?

Avenger1 I am very lucky to have such an understanding wife, we love each other and want to make all aspects of our relationship work. I was constantly lying about both porn and masturbation with her, but my performance in bed with her and her catching me masturbating to porn really put a strain on things for us, especially the trust aspect.
