    Checking in Saiyans!

Day 396 free of Porn and Day 324 Free of MO.

I've had a good week overall. I wanted to briefly mention two topics I was thinking about this week.

One is, the importance of knowing when to walk away. I read a 500 day success post. Upon reading it, it resonated with me and it stopped me from engaging in a debate that would be a waste of energy and time. I owe him my thanks. I also want to add to this and share my thoughts with you all. It takes strength to walk away from what your reactionary emotion wants you to do. For example, if a certain conversation or topic triggers anger in you. Take a step back, don't react. The anger itself , is worth exploring, as it can teach you something about yourself. It presents an opportunity to reframe and tame an auto reaction, which inevitably is an asset with recovery from addiction. Think back to all the pointless arguments you may of had, whether in person or online, was it really fruitful? Most probably not. It's okay to walk away from such things. I'm not advocating ignoring your emotion, but not being reactionary with regards to said emotion.

The other topic is , finding what in your life is a value and what is a desire. Once identified, truly reflect on your habits, do these support your values? Are your certain desires leading you to habits that are a hindrance to your values? This is what leads to emotional disarray, conflicting value and desire system.

    Stay strong my friends!
