Day 10

time to study. I’m gonna stop posting and texting people In the mornings after this. I’m not my most mindful self until the evenings or after I’ve done all my morning self care. I accidentally texted something embarassing to my gf, but I think it’ll be okay. Like she’ll be alright and not be mad but we might have to talk it out some.
 
I`m not gay but Chris Heria seriously challenges my masculinity lol.

Well, here in Brazil we are electing a new president, so I have to choose between a guy who was incarcerated and a guy who`s very evil, but that`s life.

I don`t watch UFC but I always liked martial arts and as a kid, I use to play UFC for ps2 all the time.

and gold medal calisthenics athlete. So impressive. I have no energy to get that buff right now. I overdid it a while back and I’m still recovering. I do push-up pullup horse stance and core stuff. It’s all the most essential things for me. Otherwise just some yoga shadowboxing and walking. Trying to recover strength and then just maintain so I keep my energy

I sparred my friend the other day who is into bjj. He seemed very good on the ground but I had fun with him on the feet. I hope to spar more it’s a lot of fun and I get to learn if the stuff I’m learning from books actually works

in bjj R’s defense he would probably destroy me on the ground and trains with a legend in bjj

ya ufc is cool it’s kinda intense to watch regularly, so I just read manga and watch anime. You know any relaxing anime to watch? Laid back camp was my favorite

Awesome man, your passion for fitness will help you a lot to overcome porn addiction. In my case, I hate exercising unless I`m training to do those awesome poses from calisthenics.

About a relaxing anime, actually I don`t know man, all the animes I ever watched were about fighting and stuff. But there`s a manga called Akira that is very fucking good.

My two cents: If you enjoy doing crazy calisthenics then go for it. just work on those things. I only do basic strength calisthenics and not even one fancy move for now -_- But that's what I feel is essential and I'm just doing the ones that I enjoy doing

Have you seen Simonster Strength? His 'how to program calisthenics routines' is really useful. You could totally just work on a couple skills MWF like planche and front lever for example. That'd be an awesome style of training.
 
Day 11

Woo go me day 11.

I finally get to see my gf tomorrow. Feels like forever if I don't see her for even a day. I just like and miss her a lot when I don't see her. Idk what else to say. I'm just resting. Friday/saturday I rest Sunday through thursday I go hard at studying. My goal is to do 1.5-3hours sunday through thursday study. Till late December and then it's show time.

I'm going to hit up the library and study at home. Otherwise I don't wanna study elsewhere. Hm now I wanna do calisthenics skills but. I'm recovering from overtraining right now and it's going well. It just sucks to lack energy and have to take it easy. Learning from Simonster helped me realize I was overdoing it when I saw how beginner programs have four rest days a week. I'm doing like 3 rest days a week and doing deloading style training until my energy increases. Just 7 exercises for one set each.

I was already able to do 10 gymnastics rings dips and 22 regular dips. I did 20 pullups at one point as well. I look forward to choosing a skill to work on when I'm able to transition from beginner programming to intermediate programming. instead of 3 days full body 5 days upper/lower $_$

Then I could pick like two

It'd probably be handstand and front lever. I'm picking exercises based on what I find the most enjoyable. Instead of other reasons that I used to use like most impressive, build biggest muscles, most useful in a fight for mma. w/e

I think this style of choosing will result in a much happier, more sustainable and fitter me :)

I was training for handstand push-ups, planche, and 90-degree push up, but I stopped because the routine was all messy. I`ll probably come back though.
 
Checking in - I relapsed yesterday, It is hard to deal with this shit. What keeps me going is my passion for language learning and my purpose. I CAN`T QUIT!

You can quit, the important thing is to persevere and never give up.
Acknowledging our problems gives more control than pretending they don't exist.

I relapsed too, slowly crawling out of a very sloppy slump. I need to scratch and crawl my way through the next month to reach a point where I possess the will to resist the urge to fap.
Day 0, tomorrow will also be day 0, back to day 1 on Monday.

Sorry you relapsed that sucks. It's such a struggle obviously I know. I was at 5 months no PMO and relapsed after reading some triggering book of all things. hehe.

I'm glad you have your reasons to keep going including love of language :) you're gonna maintain your streak and me too
 
Day 13

Updated my badge on here. I'm proud of my 13 day streak short as it may be. The phone call group is always the main thing that's keeping me off PMO.

Hecka sleepy rn. The problem for me is. Punching people in the head is hurting my right wrist. It's not a win for me unless I beat the being AND don't get any injuries. That's a real win.

Sighs.


So I'm trying to change my punching style. I'll spar K sometime and see how that goes. Maybe another bout with R would be better but K might actually be able to fix my punches if there's anything to be done. I saw a physical therapist who said sometimes your wrist just gets hurt and you can't keep fighting. So I'm just going to see about that haha. If I fail and I can't keep going with fighting I'll keep doing shadow boxing and solo training. Bummer tho. Sparring's the best!

My plan is to hit more Jeet Kun Do style and turnover the hook on headshots. This will possibly fix the wrist issue. IDK what else I could do. I could try sparring with smaller gloves. Fun hah.

It'll work. The JKD style punching will cure the wrist issue and I'll be a knockout artist in no time ;) May it be so.

Otherwise stuffs cool. Worked on my front lever and handstand today.

Maybe gonna work on a back lever as well. I like how it strengthens the lower back which has been a difficult area for me at times to keep healthy due to genetics on both sides

@higor pereira araujo That's cool. Those skills you listed are all really fun and high level stuff. HSPU, planche, 90 DPU.

Ah working planche is really fun. Wow 90 DPU is about as hardcore as you can get with bodyweight skills. You ever get close to pulling one off? That means you gotta be able to planche pushup and handstand pushup as well as do the holds of both of those. Wow. @_@ lol My mind is blown.

I just like doing basic strength training with calisthenics lol. I'm hecka basic like that. I love the skills they were just intimidating so I didn't try them for a while. Guess I could work on a planche and a handstand to start. Then try to do them in pushup form later. Then I'd have to transition from intermediate to advanced programming to pull off that kinda training tho.

At most I could work on the holds for now. :)

Go make and save some money and join the group calls if u think that can helps you maybe it's worth a try. Maybe they can sponsor you with a discount for being from Brazil. IDK I just want to see us both winning man <3 You'll find a way to maintain the streak
